Katie Kriz is a documentary filmmaker, videographer, and editor in the Murray Center Class of 2023 from Kansas City, Missouri. In her debut film, EXPOSED, she follows the life of a woman with a rare skin disease characterized by an extreme sensitivity to sunlight. The core of her work is fueled by a desire to document and understand the world and the people within it. She is most interested in health and environmental visual storytelling. After graduating, she plans on moving to Louisville, Kentucky to continue working as a documentary videographer and editor for the KERTIS Creative Production Company.
